Rob's Bio

Rob Henneke currently serves as Kerr County Attorney. Prior to starting his private practice, Rob served as an Assistant Attorney General in the General Litigation division in the office of the Texas Attorney General.  In this position, he defended the State of Texas, its agencies, officials, and employees in litigation matters at the trial and appellate level in both state and federal court.

Rob Henneke returned to Kerr County in 2007 where he opened a private, civil law practice representing businesses and individuals in this community.   He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the Federal District Courts in the Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern Districts of Texas.

Rob is a member of the Kerrville Rotary Club, the Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce, and First United Methodist Church, Kerrville. In addition, he serves as a member of the Kerr County Republican Party and an attorney advisor to the Tivy High School Mock Trial Team. He was the 2009 president of the Kerr County Bar Association.

Rob received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law where he was active in its advocacy programs and was a founding member of the Texas Law Republicans. He earned his undergraduate degree in English Literature from Georgetown University. Rob graduated from Tivy High School in Kerrville, Texas. Rob is an Eagle Scout. Rob is married to Lesley and they have one son, Michael, with another child on the way.
